What is the G72 rough facing cycle?
G72 is a G- code that given coded instruction to the machine that we wish to use the rough facing cycle that cuts towards the centreline of the workpiece. We not only turn along with the Z-axis but also turn on the X-axis using the G72 rough facing cycle.
In this cycle, the machine tool will cut along with the X-axis towards the centerline of the workpiece.
Use of G72 Cycle:
This cycle is specially used when we have to remove the stock in the face of the workpiece. The G72 cycle format used two lines of G codes that given instruction to the machine tool how to perform.
